In the second season, Izuku and his friends are forced to face more powerful villains, as they make their way through the rigorous U.A. High School curriculum. They also meet new classmates, including the twisted and sadistic Katsuki Bakugo, and the mysterious, blue-haired girl Mei Hatsume.
In the third season, Izuku and his friends graduate from U.A. High School and become full-fledged superheroes. They are now tasked with defending the city of Tokyo from a new threat, the League of Villains. This season also introduces us to the Pro Heroes, a group of superheroes who work for the government.
So far, there have been three seasons of the My Hero Academia anime, with a fourth season set to air in 2019. The story of the anime has covered the first three volumes of the manga, so there is still plenty of material left to adapt.
The creator of My Hero Academia, Kohei Horikoshi, has said that he would like to see the story reach the point where Izuku becomes a full-fledged hero. The anime has so far only covered the first two years of Izuku’s high school career, so there is still plenty of story left to tell.
