Deep Space Nine was a science fiction television series created by Gene Roddenberry as part of his Star Trek franchise. The show is set in the Milky Way galaxy, in the years 2369–2375. It follows the adventures of a team of space station residents, led by Commander Benjamin Sisko, as they explore the galaxy and defend the United Federation of Planets.
