Check If Computer Is 64 Bit

Computers come in all shapes and sizes. Some computers are 32 bit, and some are 64 bit. What difference does this make?

A 32-bit computer can access 4GB of memory. A 64-bit computer can access up to 16 Exabytes of memory. This is a lot of memory!

Most programs are not designed to use more than 4GB of memory, so a 32-bit computer will usually work just fine. However, if you are running a very large program or if you need to use more than 4GB of memory, you will need a 64-bit computer.
