A Space Odyssey Computer

In 1968, Stanley Kubrick released his science fiction masterpiece, “A Space Odyssey.” The film depicted the evolution of human intelligence, from the dawn of man to the future, when a computer called HAL 9000 controlled the spacecraft.

While the film was fictional, the computer technology was not. In fact, the computer in “A Space Odyssey” was based on a real computer called the Odyssey.
