The Big Bang Theory is an American sitcom created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, both of whom serve as executive producers on the show, along with Steven Molaro. The series premiered on CBS on September 24, 2007.

The show is about four young scientists—Sheldon Cooper, Leonard Hofstadter, Howard Wolowitz, and Rajesh Koothrappali—and their beautiful neighbor Penny, who live in Pasadena, California. Leonard and Sheldon are both brilliant physicists, but they are also socially inept. Leonard and Penny start dating, while Howard and Rajesh are also paired up with beautiful women.
