The Clone Wars is an American 3D CGI animated television series created by Lucasfilm Animation, Lucasfilm and Cartoon Network Studios. It is a spin-off of the 2003 film Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and the 2008 film Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The series began airing on Cartoon Network on October 3, 2008. It is set in the fictional Star Wars galaxy, during the same time period as the previous two films. The Clone Wars series finale aired on March 7, 2014.
