The release of Days Before Rodeo in August 2014 was a momentous occasion for Travis Scott. After several years of mixtapes and EP’s, the young Houston rapper finally had a proper debut album. The album was a success, debuting at number two on the Billboard 200 and receiving critical acclaim.

However, what’s often overlooked about Days Before Rodeo is the excellent production. The album is produced almost entirely by Scott himself, and the beats are uniformly excellent. This can be heard on tracks like “Drugs You Should Try” and “Mamacita”, which are both driven by infectious, Latin-inspired beats.
