Mad Max is an Australian post-apocalyptic action film series which started in 1979. The series is set in a future world where oil resources have run out, and gangs fight for control of the remaining supplies. The series follows the adventures of Max Rockatansky (played by Mel Gibson), a former policeman who becomes a wanderer in the wasteland.
