DVD-R is a non-rewritable DVD disc format developed by Pioneer in 1997. The format is also known as “DVD-RW”, “DVD-RAM” or “DVD-R DL”.
DVD-R discs can store up to 4.7GB of data or video, making them useful for storing movies, TV shows, and other large files. They can be played in most DVD players and can also be copied to other DVD discs.
DVD-Rs are not as compatible as other DVD formats, however, and may not work in some DVD players or PCs. They are also not as durable as other DVD formats and may not last as long.
