The Def Comedy Jam DVDs were an American comedy television series which aired on HBO from 1992 to 1997. The series was produced by Russell Simmons and was one of the first black comedy shows on American television. The show was a showcase for African American comedians and featured some of the biggest names in the industry, including Martin Lawrence, Dave Chappelle, and Chris Rock.
