Electronic Arts, a video game publisher, announced on Tuesday that it has acquired CD Projekt Red, the Polish video game developer behind the popular Witcher series.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Reuters reported that it was worth around $10.75 million.
CD Projekt Red was founded in 2002 and is based in Warsaw, Poland. The company’s most successful game to date is the Witcher series, a dark fantasy action-RPG that has sold more than 33 million copies worldwide.
