The movie “Wild” tells the true story of Cheryl Strayed, who hiked more than 1,000 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail alone in 1995. Reese Witherspoon stars in the lead role, and the movie was directed by Jean-Marc Vallée, who also directed “Dallas Buyers Club.”

The “Wild” DVD was released on March 17, 2015. The special features on the DVD include an audio commentary with Reese Witherspoon, Jean-Marc Vallée, and Nick Hornby; deleted scenes; and a making-of featurette.
