Released in December 2013, “Because the Internet” is the second studio album by American rapper Childish Gambino. The album was written and produced by Gambino himself, and features guest appearances from Chance the Rapper, Azealia Banks, and Problem.

The album was promoted with the release of four singles: “3005”, “Crawl”, “Sweatpants”, and “Telegraph Ave.” “Because the Internet” received generally positive reviews from music critics. The album debuted at number seven on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 64,000 copies in its first week. As of March 2016, the album has sold 194,000 copies in the United States.
