The much anticipated “Justice League” movie hit theaters in November of 2017, and while it was a box office success, it was met with mixed reviews. Some people thought that the movie was rushed and that it lacked the character development that was present in previous DC Extended Universe movies.
Director Zack Snyder, who had been involved in the DC Extended Universe from the beginning, left the project in May of 2017 due to a family tragedy. Joss Whedon, who had been involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was brought on to finish the movie.
