Nas Kings Disease Cd is a severe, often-fatal genetic disorder that primarily affects the nervous system. It is caused by a mutation in the Cd gene, which codes for the protein called “cystatin D”. This protein is found in the brain and is responsible for preventing damage to nerve cells.
