Warcraft III is a real-time strategy video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. It was first released in the United States on July 3, 2002. The game was a huge commercial success, with over 4.5 million copies sold by November 2007.

The game is set in the world of Azeroth, years after the events at the conclusion of the previous game, Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness. It is a sequel to the 1994 game Warcraft: Orcs & Humans and the 1995 game Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal.
