Philips Cd-i

The Philips CD-i (Compact Disc Interactive) is a multimedia player developed and marketed by Royal Philips Electronics. It was first announced in 1988 and released in 1991. The CD-i was Philips’ first attempt to enter the multimedia market.

The CD-i was designed to be used as a home entertainment system for playing video games, watching movies, and listening to music. The player had a built-in CD drive and a controller with a joystick and four buttons. The CD-i could be connected to a television set or a computer monitor.
