Country music fans were dealt a devastating blow in March of 2016 when Joey Martin Feek, half of the Grammy-nominated duo Joey + Rory, lost her battle with cancer. But Rory Feek has persevered, and on Sept. 8 he will release a new solo album, “This One’s For You.”

The album, Feek’s first since Joey’s death, is named after a song he wrote in her honor. “I never knew how much I loved her until she was gone,” the song goes. “I hope you’re singing up in Heaven Joey, this one’s for you.”
