Finalizing a CD in Windows 7 is a process that permanently writes the contents of the CD to the disc. Once the CD is finalized, it cannot be edited or added to. The contents of a finalized CD cannot be played on a computer until the CD is inserted into a CD or DVD drive.
To finalize a CD in Windows 7, open the “Windows Media Player” program. Click on the “File” menu and select “Burn Files to CD.” In the “Burn a Disc” window, make sure the “Finalize CD” check box is checked and click the “Burn” button.
