Death in Paradise is a British-French television series created by Robert Thorogood and produced by BBC Worldwide and Atlantique Productions. The show is set on the fictional Caribbean island of Saint-Marie and follows the work of the Saint-Marie Police Department.
The series, which is filmed on the island of Guadeloupe, began airing on BBC One on 14 January 2011. It was cancelled by the BBC in May 2016, but was later picked up by French network France 2. The sixth series began airing on France 2 on 6 February 2018.
