Son of Anarchy is an American crime drama television series created by Kurt Sutter. The series follows the lives of an outlaw motorcycle club operating in Charming, California.

The series debuted on September 3, 2008, on cable network FX. It has been described as a “dark drama [that] explores a notorious outlaw motorcycle club’s ruthless and illegal behavior”.

The show has been a critical and commercial success, and ranks as one of the most popular shows on FX. It has received numerous awards, including a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Drama in 2010.
