Playing DVDs on your Apple TV used to be a difficult process that required the use of third-party software. However, with the release of Apple TV Software Update 7.2, it is now possible to play DVDs directly on your Apple TV without the need for any additional software.

To play a DVD on your Apple TV, simply insert the DVD into your computer’s DVD drive and wait for it to be automatically recognized by your iTunes library. Once it is recognized, the DVD’s cover art will appear in the upper-left corner of the iTunes window.
