Region 4 is one of the six regions into which DVDs are divided. The other regions are Region 1, Region 2, Region 3, Region 5, and Region 6.

Region 4 encompasses Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Region 4 discs are not compatible with players in other regions. This is because different regions have different standards for DVD players, and Region 4 discs are not configured to meet those standards.
