Mechanical Computer Charles Babbage

Charles Babbage was an English mathematician, philosopher, and inventor who conceptualized and designed the first mechanical computer, called the Analytical Engine.

Born in 1791 in London, Charles Babbage showed exceptional talent in mathematics from a young age. He was educated at Cambridge University, where he developed a reputation as a gifted mathematician. He also developed an interest in philosophy, and in particular, the question of what constituted a valid logical argument.
