Star Wars The Force Awakens is the seventh installment in the Star Wars movie franchise. It was released in theaters on December 18, 2015. The movie was written and directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill, who all reprised their roles from the original Star Wars trilogy. The Force Awakens is set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi.
