Jack Reacher: Never Go Back is a 2016 American action thriller film directed by Edward Zwick and co-written by Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz. It is the sequel to the 2012 film Jack Reacher. The film stars Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders, Aldis Hodge, Danika Yarosh, Patrick Heusinger, and Holt McCallany.

The film was announced in October 2013, with Zwick attached to direct. In May 2014, Cruise was cast in the lead role, and Smulders and Hodge were cast the following month. Principal photography began on September 7, 2015, in New Orleans, and ended on December 20, 2015.
