Lord of the Rings Extended Edition DVD

The Lord of the Rings Extended Edition DVD box set was released on November 18, 2003. The set contains extended versions of all three films in the Lord of the Rings trilogy: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King.

The Fellowship of the Ring was originally released on December 19, 2001. The extended edition was released on November 18, 2003, and contains an additional 50 minutes of footage, for a total of 228 minutes.
