The Lost City of Z is a 2017 American biographical adventure film directed by James Gray and written by Gray and David Grann. The film is based on Grann’s 2009 non-fiction book of the same name, about British explorer Percy Fawcett’s attempt to find an ancient city in the Amazon rainforest in the early 20th century.

The film stars Charlie Hunnam as Fawcett, Robert Pattinson as his friend and aide-de-camp Henry Costin, Sienna Miller as Fawcett’s wife, Nina Fawcett, and Tom Holland as their son, Jack Fawcett.
