A Journal for Jordan is a documentary film about the life of Jordan Dvd, a transgender teenager who committed suicide in January 2013. The film is directed by first-time filmmaker Patricia E. Gillespie, and was funded through a successful Kickstarter campaign.
The documentary follows Jordan’s life from her early childhood, through her struggles with her gender identity, to her death. Gillespie had been filming Jordan for two years before she took her own life, and the film features footage from Jordan’s home videos, as well as interviews with her family and friends.
