Mystery Science Theater 3000, also known as MST3K, is an American cult comedy television series created by Joel Hodgson and produced by Best Brains, Inc. The show premiered on KTMA (now WUCW) in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on November 24, 1988. The series ran for three seasons on Comedy Central from 1989 to 1996, and subsequently aired on the Sci-Fi Channel from 1997 to 1999. A reboot of the series premiered on Netflix on April 14, 2017.
