The Phantom Menace was released on May 19, 1999. The movie is set 32 years before the events of the 1977 movie Star Wars: A New Hope. The movie follows the story of young Anakin Skywalker, who is trained by Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi to become a powerful Jedi. The movie was directed by George Lucas and produced by Rick McCallum.
