The Phantom of the Opera is a musical with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Charles Hart. The musical was originally produced in London by Cameron Mackintosh and has since had numerous productions worldwide.

The story is based on the French novel Le Fantôme de l’Opéra by Gaston Leroux. It tells the story of a masked figure who lurks beneath the stage of the Paris Opera House, who falls in love with an innocent young soprano, Christine Daaé, and devotes himself to creating a new voice for her.
