The Puente de las Americas (Puerto Rico) is a suspension bridge in Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. It spans the Rio Grande and connects the United States of America with the Republic of Mexico. The bridge is also known as the Rio Grande Suspension Bridge.

The Puente de las Americas (Puerto Rico) was completed in 1966 at a cost of US$27 million. The bridge has a total length of 1,752 m (5,741 ft) and a main span of 1,450 m (4,757 ft). The bridge has a total of six lanes, three in each direction.

Puente Libre Cd Juarez is a bridge in the Mexican city of Ciudad Juarez that spans the Rio Grande. The bridge was opened in 1967 and is one of the busiest in the city, carrying over 40,000 vehicles per day.

The Puente Libre Cd Juarez has been the site of several deadly accidents over the years. In 2001, a tanker truck collided with a bus on the bridge, killing 19 people. In 2008, a tanker truck carrying fuel exploded on the bridge, killing five people.

In December 2012, the Puente Libre Cd Juarez was closed for a month for repairs. …
