Amazon has announced that it is joining the ranks of companies with quantum computer research centers, with the launch of its own center in Munich.

The new center is intended to help Amazon researchers develop new applications for quantum computing. It will also be open to collaboration with other companies and academic institutions, in the hopes of accelerating the development of quantum computing technology.
