Death on the Nile is a 1978 British mystery film based on the 1934 novel of the same name by Agatha Christie. The film stars Peter Ustinov as detective Hercule Poirot and includes an all-star cast, with Bette Midler, Mia Farrow, Jacqueline Bisset, David Niven, Maggie Smith, and Angela Lansbury.

The film was directed by John Guillermin, produced by Sidney Sheldon, and written by Anthony Shaffer. It was the eighth film adaptation of a Christie novel featuring Poirot, and the second to feature Dame Maggie Smith.
