The Sims is a computer game series that has been around since 2000. It was created by Will Wright and his company, Maxis. The game allows players to create and control virtual people, or “Sims”, in a suburban area.

The Sims is one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time. As of March 2016, the franchise has sold more than 175 million copies worldwide.
