The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a 1949 American animated film produced by Walt Disney and based on the short story “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” by Washington Irving. The film is a retelling of the story of Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was directed by Clyde Geronimi, written by Otto Englander, and stars the voices of Bing Crosby, Jeffery Hunter, and Paul Frees.

The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, but lost to The Emperor’s New Groove.
