Since its release in October 2014, Taylor Swift’s 1989 album has broken records and topped charts. The album is Swift’s fifth studio album, and the follow-up to her 2012 release, Red.

1989 was recorded in Los Angeles and Nashville, and produced by Jack Antonoff, Max Martin, and Shellback. The album has a decidedly pop sound, with influences from 1980s music.
