Crown the Empire is an American metalcore band formed in 2010 in Dallas, Texas. The band consists of vocalist David Escamilla, guitarists Brandon Hoover and Brent Taddie, bassist Hayden Tree, and drummer Austin Duncan. They released their debut album The Fallout in November 2012, which peaked at number seven on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. Their second album, The Resistance, was released on September 16, 2014, and reached number six on the Billboard 200 chart.

Crown the Empire announced their third album, Retrograde, on July 21, 2017. The album was released on August 18, 2017.
