Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken is a 1993 American biographical drama film directed by Michael O’Herlihy and written by Robert Getchell. It stars Gabrielle Anwar, David Strathairn, and Bonnie Bedelia.
The film tells the true story of singer-songwriter Sonora Webster (Gabrielle Anwar), who is blinded and paralyzed in an accident, but does not give up on her dreams. With the help of her family and friends, she overcomes her disability and becomes a successful country music performer.
The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song (for “In the Life of a Rider”).
