Sense and Sensibility is a 1995 British-American romantic drama film directed by Ang Lee and based on Jane Austen’s 1811 novel of the same name. The film stars Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, Kate Winslet, and James Fleet. Thompson’s screenplay was adapted from the novel by the author and her then husband, the actor and director Kenneth Branagh.
