Get Its First Universal Quantum Computer
In the race to build the first universal quantum computer, the company D-Wave Systems is pulling ahead. On Tuesday, they announced that they have created a new quantum computer that can solve problems faster than ever before.
This new quantum computer, called the D-Wave 2000Q, has a processor that can handle up to 2,000 quantum bits, or qubits. That’s twice as many as the company’s last quantum computer, the D-Wave 2X.
